Controlling Post-operative Risk

Postoperative respiratory compromise represents a significant healthcare burden. It contributes to increased morbidity and mortality, length of stay, and cost of care. Despite this established clinical and financial burden, current literature suggests that patient monitoring strategies are not optimal for the rapid identification of postoperative respiratory compromise.

As healthcare facilities increasingly care for complex, co-morbid surgical patients, transitioning from spot checking patients to continuous monitoring is the new standard in care. This webinar will review the clinical challenges and regulatory guidelines that support increased interventions for enhancing patient surveillance and patient safety post-operatively while receiving opioids.
